La incomodidad de sueños, or, the discomfort of dreams

Immigrants shape our lives in ways unseen. The work that they do is foundational to our lives, and yet their own existence is often denied with contempt and denigration. I want to capture this contradiction by reversing our associations with materials that define our everyday and invite contemplation about what it means to harbor dreams in hostile lands.

Thank you to Will Oney, Armando Jimenez, Armira Nance, and Xavier Tavera for their support and collaboration.
